Established in 2000, DaceCrown specialises in manufacturing high- quality engineering solutions, initially focused on the food and drink

sector. Since taking ownership in October 2023, Jake Harley-Arliss and Tom White have broadened its industry reach while maintaining the company’s strong reputation for quality and precision. Known for its expertise in the design, manufacturing, and installation of components for fast-paced industries, the firm remains dedicated to quality, reliability, and innovation.

DaceCrown faced increasing energy expenses due to outdated halogen lighting and inefficient central heating reliant on portable heaters. Recognising these challenges, a comprehensive energy assessment led to practical recommendations, including LED lighting installation and central heating improvements.

Additional energy-saving measures, such as automated doors and draught-proofing, further contributed to reducing energy consumption.

The proposed upgrades have delivered immediate energy savings and reduced operational costs. The LED lighting alone significantly improved working conditions and inspection accuracy, while the new central heating system provided cost savings and comfort enhancements.

DaceCrown, following the upgrades, were able to add an additional machine without increasing overall energy usage. The efficiency gains have also facilitated the recruitment of an extra apprentice earlier than planned, supporting future growth.
